Dr.Zakaria Maamar is full professor in the College of Technological Innovation at Zayed University, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His research interests include service computing, social computing, and business process management. Zakaria has extensively published in different peer reviewed journals (e.g., IEEE Internet Computing and IEEE Transactions on Service Computing) and conferences (e.g., CAiSE and ICSOC), regularly serves on the program and organizing committees of several international conferences and workshops, and serves on the editorial boards of many international journals such as Service-Oriented Computing Applications journal published by springer. He is the recipient of an IBM Faculty Award in 2009. Zakaria has a PhD in computer science from Laval University, Quebec City, Canada.


Dr.Khaled Salah is an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR). He received the B.S. degree in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from Iowa State University, USA, in 1990, the M.S. degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, USA, in 1994, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the same institution in 2000. Prior to joining KUSTAR, Khaled was an associate professor in the Department of Information and Computer Science, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
Khaled has been teaching graduate and undergraduate courses and has over 100 publications in the areas of cloud computing, computer and network security, operating systems, computer networks, and performance evaluation. Khaled is an Editorial Board member of a number of prestigious international journals including IET Communications, IET Networks, Elsevier JNCA, Wiley IJNM, Wiley SCN, and J.UCS. Khaled was the recipient of Khalifa University Outstanding Research Award 2014/2015, KFUPM University Excellence in Research Award of 2008/09, and KFUPM Best Research Project Award of 2009/10, and also the recipient of the departmental awards for Distinguished Research and Teaching in prior years. Khaled has given a number of public talks, tutorials, and seminars on cloud computing and network security.


Mr.Ahmed Adly is the Cloud Computing Leader with Oracle for Eastern & Central Europe, Middle East and Africa. Ahmed has been working for Oracle for the last 15 years during which he led MEA FMW Solutions Specialist team, Managed Technology Presales for Comms Sector in MEA as well as various regional presales roles. During these roles in Oracle, Ahmed worked in variety of projects either for defining end-to-end solutions for major enterprises establishing new operations, revamping of current established operations or helping customers adopting IT edge solutions . Ahmed current focus is to evangelise Cloud Computing in order to build awareness and helping customer adopt cloud computing private, public and hybrid cloud


Dr. Eesa Mohammed Bastaki is the former CEO of the ICT Fund and is actively leading the effort to create an eco-system in the UAE ICT industry, by encouraging entrepreneurship, funding R&D projects and University scholarships and implementing ICT initiatives at the school level. He is also leveraging the ICT sector to bring together Industry, Academia and Government in a partnership that supports “home-grown” ICT initiatives. As a UAE national scientist and researcher he studied abroad where he received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of California, San Diego and Ph.D. from University of California, Irvine. His research interests are Multiple Access Communications, Coding and Synchronization. He was a faculty member in the Electrical Engineering Department at UAE University since 1989 until 2011. During his career he held many posts. He was the Chairman of the Energy Section and later the Technology Section during 1990-1992 at the Technology & Energy Research Center, UAEU. At UAEU, he was the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in 1992-1996 and the Director of the IT Center in 1998-2000. From 2000 to 2003 he founded the IT Center at Al-Ain Municipality. He was Consultant and Director of Education & Technology from 2003 to 2008 and one of the founders of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority. He is Consultant and one of the founders of Rochester Institute of Technology-Dubai.
Now, Dr.Eesa Mohammed Bastaki is the President of University of Dubai, Chairman and Partner of Barajeel Engineering Consultants, Chairman of Emirates Science Club, Board Member of Cultural & Science Association. He is also the Honorary Chairman of IEEE, UAE Section and member of Society of Engineers. He is a member of Board of Trustees of Canadian University in Dubai. He is a member of Advisory Board of 7 universities. He is the recipient of Sheikh Rashid's Award for Scientific Excellence. In 2009, he received UAE’s highest award “The Emirates Awards for Science, Arts and Literature” in sciences.


Mr.Swami Natarajan Senior Director, Cloud Applications Leader, ECEMEA has over 18 years of direct experience across Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia Pacific and Japan with a focus on Cloud Apps. Has extensive experience in Comms, Media, Utility and Aviation, FSI, Retail, Professional Service Industries in Application Sales, Business Development, Implementation, Consulting and Major Account Management. Swami brings extensive experience CRM, ERP, EPM and other edge application Sales, Solutions, Consulting & Professional Services for the above industries.

Prior to Oracle Corporation, Swami worked with General Electric Company in IT consulting and Implementation for GE European Operations, GE Plastics Japan and GE APAC. Also worked IT consulting organization Satyam Computers in Sales and Consulting in MEA. Prior to that Swami was associated in Application Product development with Ramco Systems Ltd. Also worked with Oracle Corporation, India in Global Support & Product enhancements.

Swami is a Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with 18 years post qualification experience and holds a graduate degree in Commerce. He is based in Dubai and travels extensively in Europe, Russia, Middle East and Africa.


Dr.Saeed Al Dhaheri is an Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Information Systems, where he aims to use enterprise architecture and IT practices to transform and excel the performance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Prior to this, he was the Director General of the newly formed Emirates Identity Authority, which he established and led for two years.
For ten years, he was an academic professor at the UAE University, and his long personal interest in IT has seen him participate in many IT seminars and conferences worldwide. Furthermore, he is one of the pioneers who helped bring the Internet to the UAE in 1995.
His career has also included consulting and advising several UAE Government organisations in the areas of IT systems development, e-Government, financial and investment management services and national ID systems.
He holds a Doctorate in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University, USA.


Prof. Sergei Gorlatch is an internationally acknowledged expert in the area of algorithms, architectures, software and applications for modern and emerging computer and networked systems. Sergei Gorlatch has been Full Professor of Computer Science at the University of Muenster (Germany) since 2003. Earlier he was Associate Professor at the Technical University of Berlin, Assistant Professor at the University of Passau, and Humboldt Research Fellow at the Technical University of Munich, all in Germany.
Prof. Gorlatch has about 200 peer reviewed publications in renowned international books, journals and conferences. He is often delivering invited talks at international conferences and serves at their program committees. Prof. Gorlatch was principal investigator in several international research and development projects in the field of parallel, distributed, Grid and Cloud algorithms and computing, as well as e-Learning, funded by the European Commission and by German national bodies. In the area of high-performance computing, his group has been recently developing a novel, high-level SkelCL library (skelcl.uni-muenster.de/) for efficient programming of parallel algorithms on emerging many-core systems with accelerators. Among his recent achievements in the area of communication and future internet is the Real-Time Framework (www.real-time-framework.com) developed in his group as a novel platform for high-level development of real-time, highly interactive applications like multi-player online games, advanced e-Learning, crowd simulations, etc.


Mr. Samer Ramez Abu-Ltaif With over 23 years of Sales, Management and Marketing Experience, Samer is one of the key Information Technology Executives in the region who has seen, lived and contributed to the development and growth of the IT sector in the region.
He worked for NCR Corporation for 14 years, where his last assignment was the General Manager of their Gulf Operations. In 2004, Samer joined Microsoft and over the last 9 years he has been a key member of the Microsoft Middle East and Africa Leadership Team. Key assignments included General Manager of North Gulf, General Manager of Middle East and Africa Enterprise and Partner Group, followed by his current role as the Regional General Manager for Microsoft Gulf where he is responsible for Microsoft’s strategy, execution and the end to end business performance across Gulf Countries.
Samer is a very passionate leader about the impact of people and organization development on driving growth. He is a strong believer of the differentiation that the people agenda drives for innovation, competitiveness and sustainability.
